After yesterday’s big day, the dark clouds are rolling in off the horizon. The Fed chief heads to the Hill to talk with Senators about our current banking crisis.

Bernanke is talking to Chuck Schumer today and the tone is less than gentlemanly. Schumer has on eyeliner and looks like he’s been botoxed and spent some time in a tanning booth. I am beginning to agree with Jim Rogers that Bernanke is utterly clueless.

I let subscribers know this morning that it was time to close our MDY Call Option position. We bought it at 10 and took our profits at 14.60. All in all not a bad trade. I don’t want to get caught in a back slide if somebody misspeaks.

In other words, Ted Kennedy has yet to speak.

That’s it for now. Keep your heads down. With the Senators preening for the cameras, anything is possible.
